TYPES OF WATERPROOFING PRODUCTS
Waterproof membranes play an essential role in the protection of buildings and infrastructure, water conservation and prevention of land and water contamination.
- Waterproofing materials are a specific set of products to protect the structural integrity of buildings from water penetration.
- However membranes are also increasingly being developed to include benefits to the environment including cooling technology, photovoltaic energy, air cleaning technology and improved environmental life cycle.
- Quality Waterproofing Systems increase the durability and longevity of buildings and structures when applied to the exterior of surfaces, basements and foundation systems.
- Long lasting waterproofing systems also function to lower the maintenance cost of buildings.
- Cement based structures experience immense damping and erosion due to frequent climatic changes, waterproofing extends the shelf life of residential and commercial buildings.
Waterproofing products are manufactured to advanced synthetic polymer compounds in either sheet or liquid form.

Liquid Applied Membranes (LAM) are low viscosity waterproofing products.
These membranes are applied as a liquid coating - spray apply or roll on - to both horizontal & vertical surfaces.
LAMs are considered as advanced next generation waterproofing products.
Being liquid, these membranes are monolithic and seamless and with the capability to conform to every configuration.
LAMs advanced membrane performance is also providing a broader range of solutions to meet the demands of exciting and new applications and industrial sectors outside of construction.
About 40-45% of the demand for liquid applied membrane comes from repair and restoration projects.

These unique capabilities make Liquid Applied Membranes (LAM) the method of choice over conventional methods such as torch-on, roll out sheet systems .
- Whether for refurbishment or new build projects, there are liquid waterproofing products available for roofing, above and below ground construction and structural waterproofing.
- Liquid Waterproof Products incorporate toughness, excelelnt high-resistance properties together with membrane flexibility and elasticity.
- The liquid membrane products are at the very forefront of waterproofing technology.
- Cold spray applied liquid systems have many unique properties that are superior to and not offered by traditional waterproofing membranes.

Liquid Rubber Compared To Sheet Membranes
Liquid Rubber was developed to solve the problems that continually arise with conventional membrane systems.
- Cold spray applied liquid systems have many unique properties that are superior to and not offered by traditional waterproofing membranes.
- Liquid Rubber is an environmental waterproofing spray-applied system providing strong, flexible & seamless membranes.
- Liquid Rubber has incredible flexibility – stretching over 8 times its own size without tearing.
- This flexibility – combined with memory of 95% – allows for structural movement of buildings.
- Flexible water proof products are especially suitable when faced with various obstacles on balconies and old rooftops with penetrations such as antennas, satellite dishes, solar panels etc.
- Can be used on both horizontal and vertical surfaces.

A fast curing, single component membrane with exceptional flexibility yet tough enough for the most demanding projects.

Unique Properties of Liquid Rubber Waterproofing Systems
Single and fully-bonded membrane spray applied without joins, seams or overlaps – a seamless continuous waterproof coating.
- Spray application is a rapid – up to three times faster than conventional sheet waterproofing.
- Offers exceptional value for money due to FAST application process.
- Can be used on both horizontal and vertical surfaces.
- Instant set – enables shorter windows of opportunity to carry out application.
- Application on slightly damp surfaces – sometimes necessary requirement for winter projects.
- Requires no primers, mixers, flames or heat – contributing to safer and faster applications.
- Elasticity 110% – flexibility allows for substrate movement.
- Combines excellent strength and elasticity together with extreme surface adhesion.
- Monolithic, seamless & instant set membranes immediately on application.
- Liquid Rubber will not oxidise, craze, crack, loosen or scale with time and ageing.
- Withstand soil stresses and resists attack from alkalis, acids, salts, pollution & moisture.
